Jackson's first real-life escape room is the first of it's kind in

mid-Michigan. Participants will test their wit, problem solving,

and teamwork skills by entering a locked room in which they

have sixty minutes to escape. This is the premier form of

entertainment for gamers, movie buffs, adrenaline junkies, and

corporate or academic team leaders. As a group, participants

must find clues, and solve a series of puzzles and riddles to

escape before their time runs out!

Escape rooms have been featured in television series like the

Science Channel's "Race to Escape", ABC's "The Bachelorette",

and CBS's "The Big Bang Theory". Jackson County natives,

Savanah Sheets and Shane Stephens, bring EpIQ Escapes to

fellow residents offering them a chance to experience a unique

form of entertainment. This attraction is great for first dates,

bachelorette parties, youth organizations, and couples looking

for a new way to spend their Friday nights. Each room has a

distinct theme and transports participants into a theatrical

alternate reality where they must use logic and detective skills.

Escape rooms have been opening rapidly in major cities across the United States since 2012. Escape game enthusiasts have been known to travel across state lines to experience this "next big thing." This is a great attraction for those who like haunted houses, fantasy, sci-fi, and adventure games, books, or films. Participants have already called EpIQ Escapes' first room "highly addictive". Co-owner, Shane Stephens says, Jackson deserves this kind of thing. We've already had such positive reactions and support from local area businesses. We are really excited to share what we've been working on!"
